Kayla is fascinated by organic materials, textures, and perfect squares. She likes to take biological forms out of their original contexts and into the more technological ones that define our modern age.

By emphasizing uncanny imagery, tactility, decay, and ephemerality, she explores how everyday objects and living organisms can act as a catalyst for conversations about mundanity and ways to live.
